Summary

Dylan is a graduate student at UCSD pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology with a Specialization in Bioinformatics. He previously worked as an intern at Complete Genomics developing an automated DNA nanoball loading patterned surface for the company’s next generation sequencer. After that, Dylan worked at the Eli Lilly Biotechnology Center in San Diego as a NGS automation intern. At this opportunity, he was in charge of developing a fully automated NGS protocol for the Illumina Miseq to be used in their antibody discovery workflow. In the Yeo Lab, Dylan is working on a machine learning pipeline to tackle the computer vision problem of neuron segmentation and tracing. He is also working with Clarence and Noorsher to build a subcellular spatial transcriptomics analysis python package, Bento. Besides research and school, Dylan enjoys staying active, trying new foods, and visiting new places with his friends and family.
